You will eventually gain back the extra pounds that you have lost and this happens sooner than you expect it to. 

So, how do you permanently maintain a good figure? Here are the diet tips which have been proven to deliver significant results and at the same time, it will also help you maintain your figure. 

First, you have to realize that dieting should be a lifestyle and not something that is temporary. So, what you need to do is really change your diet by eating healthier food and avoiding those which will just make you gain weight but will not really provide you with nutrients. The best thing to do is to change your diet gradually until your body adapts to it completely. Work on your appetite and change your preference for food. 

Second, a good diet should always be teamed up with regular exercise. You do not really need to subject yourself to rigorous work out everyday. Just find something that you would enjoy doing. Do not force yourself to spend hours and hours on the exercise machine in the gym if you do not enjoy it. You can opt to go out jogging, running or even brisk walking. Or maybe you can try cycling and other outdoor exercises. 

Third, get sufficient sleep. Others disregard the fact that to be able to maintain a good figure and a healthy body, you have to get enough sleep. If you are well rested, your muscles are able to repair better and you will also have the energy for the entire day. Aside from that, you body will not crave for food too.
